The goldfish that can count to four

Research by the University of Padua in Italy showed that male and female mosquitofish - one of the world's most common freshwater fish - could differentiate up to four, similar maths skills to those observed in apes, monkeys and dolphins.




Christian Agrillo, of the University of Padua, said: "We have provided the first evidence that fish exhibit rudimentary mathematical abilities.

DOG MEAT IN BEIJING RESTAURANTS (CHINA)

An inspection found many restaurants in Beijing, China selling dog meat. These restaurants will only be closed temporarily, and outside Beijing they will remain open. Only 30 km away from Beijing its possible to eat dog meat.

these dogs are not all of them raised or wandering, also its common to found dogs with collars, so belonging to a family.

Today people all around China eat dog meat, except in Hong Kong where its forbidden since 1950, and also in Taiwan.

A survey done in 2004 revealed that more than 3/4 od Chinese people are willing to adopt a law for animal protection.

SLAUGHTERHOUSES IN SPAIN

Recorded for the first time illegal procedures in north-Spain slaughterhouses with rabbits, pigs, calves and lambs.

-Rabbits killed when still conscious.
-Pigs eating their feces because of starvation.
-Rabbits full of urine and feces from the ones above.
-Etc.

Every year in Spain 573 million chickens are killed, 39 millions pigs, 35 million hens, 61 million rabbits, almost 3 million cows and 19 million lambs and sheeps.
